We’ve had a peaceful and uneventful Christmas. Maggie has remained germ-free and strong. She is still having occasional back pain from an undetermined source (most likely liver), but it responds well to pain meds. After her next chemo round, it will be time for scans again. We hope this will shed light on the mystery pain so we can eliminate it if possible. Speaking of chemo rounds, Maggie and I will report to the CCC at 8:00 am tomorrow for ROUND #50! Can you believe that? She is one tough fighter. The plan is the same – admission to 3C for 48 hours of chemo. If all goes well, we’ll be home Saturday afternoon.

We appreciate your prayers for effective chemo with few side effects. We continue to feel the support and strength from your prayers for the family. It is a tough journey. We all feel a sense of life on hold. The uncertainty of treatment schedule, side effects, and the general “unknown” of life with cancer makes planning a challenge. We’re hoping for Maggie to start a few college classes in 2018. We continue to work well as a family to keep life moving along. Molly is working some but remains at home as my right hand. (I couldn’t do what I do without her). We’re thankful we’ve all been healthy! Thank you for being part of all we’ve accomplished this year.

I’ll post an update during treatment (if my laptop is able to connect to hospital wi-fi – last admission we had problems).
