After a very long day in the clinic, Maggie has been admitted to 3C for chemo. She was cleared (her counts were strong) this morning, and the chemo was started early afternoon. Normally she will get two drugs in the clinic then move to the floor for the other two. But Batson is full, including 3C, so we waited for a discharge to free a room. Sometime after 5:00 pm we settled into our space for the next two days. If all goes according to plan, she’ll finish late Saturday afternoon. She has not slept today – a minor miracle you would agree if you heard the list of drugs on board – but that should change soon. I see her struggling to keep those eyes open. She’s a champ. She takes it all in stride and still manages to smile.

She will have her final guest blog for Batson available for reading and sharing tomorrow. I’ll post a link once it is available. We appreciate your taking time to read. Thanks for the encouraging comments, too. It has been a fun project and great opportunity for her to share her heart.

I’ll keep you updated if there are other concerns to develop. Thank you for prayers! Good night.
