Maggie and I came to Jackson for a clinic appointment and possible admission this morning. She brought enough platelets with her this time and was cleared for chemo and admission. She’s still getting the Folfiri regimen, but this time we’re switching to Panitumumab in place of Bevacizumab as the targeted therapy. We moved into our room on 3C less than an hour ago. She is trying to sleep off premeds and anti-nausea meds for now. We should finish late Wednesday afternoon with discharge shortly after.

Thanks for your overwhelming response to Maggie’s first blog for Batson’s Childhood Awareness Month emphasis. She is working on the second with plans to submit later this week (after she wakes up). We’re thankful for the numerous shares, likes and comments it generated – all in an effort to spread the word. I’ll be taking part in a 5K this Saturday to support the Zach Little Memorial Fund. It starts (8:00 am) and ends at the Longleaf Trace station in Sumrall. I would love to see YOU there to run, walk or bike to raise money for a fund that supports Batson and St. Jude. Zach Little may have lost his earthly battle with pediatric cancer, but his legacy lives on to help others. If you are interested, message me below or privately and I’ll send information your way.

I’ll update again as this chemo round ends. Thank yo for praying for maximum efficacy with minimal side effects. We appreciate your love and support.
