Maggie and I will be leaving early for an 8:00 am appointment at the CCC. If her counts look good, she will be admitted for her next round of chemo. If all goes according to plan, we’ll stay through Saturday afternoon. I’ll update as quickly as I can to let you know whether or not admission takes place. She’s been a bit under the weather with seasonal allergy stuff (we think) – stuffy nose and post-nasal drip causing a sore throat. She spiked a low temp last night but seems much better today. All things considered, she’s in amazing shape to be 3-1/2 years into treatment for Stage IV cancer. To look at her right now, you would not be able to tell. God is good in showering us with blessings.
I’m sharing a link for those of you who may not have seen this on Facebook. Maggie wrote the first of three blogs for Batson detailing her journey with cancer as an adolescent-young adult and her passion for promoting awareness for pediatric cancers. You can follow this link:

to read more. If you have problems with the link, try a copy/paste into your browser. If you are unable to view it, let me know and we’ll figure something out. I’m proud of this spunky warrior and her transparency in sharing from her heart. I pray her words will be effective in bringing awareness and support to help kids suffering due to the under-funding of research for a cure.
Thank you for supporting us with prayers and encouragement. It means the world to us.
Continued prayers ????????????????????????
Thanks for sharing the link. I had not seen it. Although I did see a precious pic on FB of Maggie and her very pretty Aunt Cindy. Maggie, you look amazingly well. God is good. We continue to pray. Your mom certainly gave you her writing ability.
Continued prayers from the Carter family.
Prayers continue
Thanks for sharing!!! God is good!!! ????
