We’ve hit a snag in starting treatment. In lab work today, Maggie’s urine showed signs of a UTI (which we suspected starting yesterday), but, more seriously, it showed signs that the biliary stent is not working (several components that should NOT be in urine are there). So, Maggie’s team is recommending we replace the stent and get it working properly prior to starting the clinical trial. It is not emergent yet but could go downhill quickly. There are no slots open to have this performed outpatient today or tomorrow. However, she can be admitted through the ER and have it performed endoscopically as inpatient. We’re preparing to go now for admission. We won’t know the schedule for the procedure until we meet with the GI team in the hospital. I’ll post an update as soon as we know. Thank you for prayers. We already had a BIG one answered in hearing this will take place by tomorrow. Until then….
