It’s time for scans again. Maggie has a CT scan scheduled tomorrow at 2:00 at UAB. We will be staying overnight for a clinic appointment to hear results. As long as she is at least stable (no new growth in size or number of spots), she will have her regularly scheduled treatment while in the clinic Thursday. We will then return home that afternoon. While we are in Birmingham (or driving back), Phil will be in New Orleans to pick up Molly from the airport. She’s coming home!! She has had a fantastic month in New Zealand, traveling over both islands to study geology up close. But we are beyond ready to have her home. And I think she’s a tad ready to be home, too.

I want to take just a minute to let those of you who are not connected to us on Facebook know Maggie has made the decision to go ‘Over the Edge’ again this year – rappelling 14 stories in Jackson on April 22. Phil and I are going to sit it out and provide ground support, but Maggie will not drop alone. She will be joined this year by an incredible team: her surgeon from Batson, Dr. Barry Berch, Charlie Hardee and Jenna Clair Lee, both repeats from last year, and three new Edgers: Gail Weldy, Dr. Scott Hanberry, and Dr. Darryl Craft. I plan to post a blog to tell exactly why this is important to us. In a nutshell: we love Batson and are forever thankful for the place, the doctors, the nurses, staff and their part in Maggie’s healing. we want to honor them by providing all they need to take care of Mississippi’s children. Thank you for your constant support. We appreciate your prayers as we reach another “reveal” of the status of Maggie’s cancer. While we feel a certain measure of concern each time we report for a scan, we are reminded each time of God’s providence in ordaining all the events of our days and His provision in preparing us for the outcome. I’ll update with news as soon as I can Thursday.
