Happy New Year! We had a fantastic holiday – everyone stayed well, ate too much, and rested more than we could have hoped. Phil, Maggie and I are gearing up for our next trip to Birmingham tomorrow morning. Maggie has an 11:00 appointment for clinic and infusion. We’ll spend the night to allow her to sleep it off then continue to Asheville for a very cold winter holiday. Most of you know that Molly departed for New Zealand on New Year’s Eve for a full month. She’s taking part in a geology field camp traveling around both islands. We’re proud of her but missing her like crazy! We’re finding out how much we rely on her for many things. In fact, I’ve started keeping a list of “Molly does that” items to show her when she returns. It’s growing as fast as I can write! Our trip to Asheville is Maggie’s requested compensation for having to watch Molly take an incredible trip without her.

I’ll post an update soon after the infusion. My plan is to recommit to my personal blog in the coming weeks. I think the holiday rest has been good for my mind and spirit. I’m taming the thoughts and wrestling them to “paper”. I think Maggie may have a few thoughts to share soon, too. Thank you for your continuing support and prayers. We cherish the love and thoughts and hope 2017 gives us many victories to celebrate.
