I am thrilled to report Maggie’s CT scan performed yesterday revealed no new growth or new lesions. The primary nodules being used as indicators of treatment effectiveness were stable – no increase in size. We’re thankful for this news. Maggie will be able to continue participating in the clinical trial. She received her infusion this afternoon, and we made the trip home (a seemingly faster trip with good news on board!). We now plan to share a quiet Christmas weekend at home with family. Last December and early January were rough on her physically – she dealt with several “extra” health issues requiring trips to the ER and hospitalization. This year is shaping up to be much better – her overall resistance and strength appear to be better.

“Thank you” never sounds complete or enough to convey our gratitude for all you do to encourage us. The prayers and the “just knowing you care” mean the world. We hope you all have a joy-filled Christmas. May your memories – old ones and new – temper the pain of loss so achingly present during this season. And may God bring peace to our restless lives.
